How I think about stuff

01

Discover

No matter where a project stands or what the ask is—there will likely be some unknown unknowns. This is the time to ask questions, gather additional resources for research, and drill into the potential problems that the project is facing. It's important to make sure everyone is involved, informed, and well equipped moving forward.

Example deliverables:
  • Research plan
  • Competitive analysis
  • Root problem identification
02

Define

This is the spot to clearly articulate the problem at hand and present the potential solutions that can solve said problem. We can define what we're trying to achieve and lay out the roadmap to get there.

Example deliverables:
  • Project planning
  • Prototypes
  • Root problem identification
03

Build

Time to dig in. This is where rectangles are made and circles are polished. Whether it's a hifi design or a no-code website build—I create a pixel perfect representation of the solution that was decided upon and described in the last two steps.

Example deliverables:
  • Logos
  • Functioning website
  • Product user flows
04

Handoff

Once a design is handed off or a feature is shipped, the work generally isn't done done. I use this time for in depth QA and integrating any feedback into design revisions along with necessary documentation hand off to ensure a smooth system moving foward.

Example deliverables:
  • Product QA
  • Ongoing design revisions
  • Documentation
